Dvara frames an open, textured centre with rows of small geometric motifs. Cream diamonds, angular lines and stepped details run around the edges, while inward-pointing chevrons bring the pattern towards the centre. Light fringes finish both ends, giving the structured design a softer outline.
Named Dvara, the Sanskrit word for doorway, this wool and cotton kilim uses its patterned frame to draw the eye into the room. The uncluttered centre leaves space for the woven texture to show, balancing decorative detail with a quieter field of colour.
Materials and design
- Wool and cotton kilim rug
- Rectangular design with an open centre and geometric borders
- Cream diamond and angular motifs
- Light fringed ends
Choose your colour
- Sage & Cream: a pale, muted green-grey ground with subtle cream motifs for a gentle, understated contrast.
- Ochre & Cream: a warm golden-brown ground with clearly defined cream motifs for a richer, earthier look.
Choose your size
Both colours are available in 120 × 180 cm, 150 × 210 cm, 150 × 240 cm, 180 × 270 cm, 210 × 270 cm, 240 × 300 cm and 270 × 360 cm.
A 60 × 60 cm swatch is also available in each colour. This is a sample, not a full-size rug.
Styling
Choose Sage & Cream alongside pale oak, cream upholstery and muted green accessories for a restful scheme. Ochre & Cream works beautifully with darker timber, warm neutrals and terracotta accents. Beneath a simple coffee table, the open centre keeps the arrangement calm while the patterned edges frame the seating area. Beside a bed, the fringed ends and small geometric details introduce texture without an all-over print.
Care
- Vacuum gently, avoiding the fringes and rotating brush heads.
- Blot spills promptly with a clean, dry cloth rather than rubbing.
- Avoid soaking the rug or using harsh cleaning products.
- Use furniture leg protectors and rotate the rug periodically for even wear.
- For deeper cleaning, consult a professional rug cleaner familiar with wool and cotton kilims.
